Biocompatible adhesive materials
A big problem after internal surgeries is leakage at the surgical site, leading to complications and inhibiting recovery. This project developed a class of biocompatible adhesive materials used in surgery that can be designed to match tissue type . In addition, these materials can sense tissue surface modifications induced by a disease. These tissue and disease-responsive adhesives prevent complications associated with leakage after internal surgeries and improve patient health.
