Samson Timoner
Samson Timoner is a serial entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience in computer vision. He founded two computer vision companies: Scalable Display Technologies and Mythical Labs. He has built and managed computer vision teams, spearheading algorithm strategy and patent strategy. He is passionate about turning ideas into scalable shipping products, working with customers to ensure the development roadmap meets market needs.
Samson has authored more than 10 patent families. He has numerous academic publications. He has co-chaired computer vision workshops including CVPR ProCams, CVPR View, the New England Computer Vision Workshop, and Recognizing Families In the Wild, a workshop on Face Recognition.
Samson organizes the computer vision community in the greater Boston area, running a meetup to bring companies and people together. He often meets with computer vision entrepreneurs providing guidance and introductions.
Samson has a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from the Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT, and a B.S. from Caltech.
