Monitoring chemical reactions

The rising cost of bringing a new drug to market has increased the pressure to accelerate the pharmaceutical development cycle. Understanding and monitoring chemical reactions is thus of paramount importance to reduce development times and avoid issues in scale-up. This project is developing a Raman spectroscopy system with on-chip photonic sensors, which can be readily integrated into existing pharmaceutical processes. The devices would allow for more efficient and higher quality pharmaceutical process development and manufacturing.

InSpek

The technology from this project was spun out into a startup company, InSpek.

Jérôme Michon presents their project at IdeaStream 2020.
