C2Sense

C2Sense is a start-up developing disruptive gas sensing technologies.

Wasted food is a global social, political, and economic problem with a direct economic cost of $750 billion per year. C2Sense has developed a novel ethylene sensor that can monitor ripeness at all stages of the supply chain. This new cost-effective sensing system will help address the problem of waste by allowing growers, shippers, distributors, retailers and consumers to make dynamic decisions to reduce waste at every stage.

This company is a spinout of the 2012 project, Sensors for Food and Agriculture: Selectivity for Key Markers and the Development of Scalable Manufacture.
