Shirley Goh

Marketing and Communications Manager

Shirley manages communications and marketing for the Deshpande Center, and executes the logistical coordination for all events including IdeaStream and the Innovation Showcase. She produces written and multimedia content for the website, authors the newsletter, and manages social media channels.

Previously she was the communications director at Boston College's TIMSS & PIRLS International Study Center. There she produced website content, developed videos visualizing research data, coordinated media outreach, expanded social media followings, and was editor of two research publications. 
Prior to her work in higher education, Shirley was an award-winning editor and writer for nine years at The Boston Globe. Other newspapers she has worked at include Newsday in New York and The Morning Call in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Shirley is a former New England chapter president of the Asian American Journalists Association, and has a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in journalism from Stony Brook University.
